GetMyTaps Delivery Policy

Thank you for shopping with us. We want to ensure that your products are delivered safely and on time. Please read our delivery policy carefully for full transparency.

1. Delivery Timescales
1.1 We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-10 business days from when the order is placed. Special order items may take significantly longer depending on stock and manufacturing times.
1.2 Delivery times vary depending on your location:
– Standard Delivery: 3–7 working days (UK mainland)
– Express Delivery: 1–3 working days (available for selected products)
– Delivery times may be longer for rural areas or outlying regions.
– Most of Mainland UK is covered within the GetMyTaps delivery area.

2. Delivery Charges
2.1 Delivery charges are calculated at checkout. Charges are based on the weight, size of your order, and delivery location.
2.2 We offer free delivery for some orders and these will be stated on the website checkout.
2.3 Additional fees apply for:
– Northern Ireland
– Highlands & Islands of Scotland
– All deliveries are carried out in mainland UK, Enquiries via email can be made for Ireland
– We do not do international deliveries.

3. Delivery Methods
3.1 Standard Delivery: Your goods will be delivered by a third-party courier to your doorstep.
3.2 Room-of-Choice or Pallet Delivery: For larger or heavier items (e.g., bathtubs, tiles), delivery may be made via pallet or specialised courier. Delivery drivers are not required to bring goods inside your home, so please ensure someone is available to assist with unloading.

4. Delivery Instructions
4.1 To ensure smooth delivery, please provide accurate and complete delivery information at checkout.
4.2 If you live in a restricted access area (e.g., apartments, gated communities), please provide extra information (e.g., access codes, parking details).

5. Failed Deliveries
5.1 If no one is available to accept delivery at the time of arrival, the goods may be returned to the courier’s depot.
5.2 Additional charges will apply for redelivery or re-shipping.

6. Damage During Delivery
6.1 You must inspect all items at the time of delivery.
6.2 If you notice any visible damage to packaging or goods, please refuse the delivery or make a note of the damage on the courier’s delivery note.
6.3 Claims for damaged goods must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. This must be emailed in within 48 hours of the delivery.

7. Delivery Risk and Ownership
7.1 Ownership of goods passes to you once full payment is received, but the risk passes to you at the time of delivery.

8. International Deliveries
8.1 We currently do not offer international deliveries except by special arrangement. Please contact us directly for quotes.

Returns Policy

GetMyTaps Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please review our returns policy below.

1. Consumer Right to Cancel
1.1 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
1.2 To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing via email within 14 days of receiving the goods.

2. Return Conditions
2.1 The following conditions must be met for us to accept a return:
– Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. Manufacturers seal MUST be in tact and not broken or tampered with.
– You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
– Returns are at your expense unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

3. Non-returnable Items
3.1 The following items cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged upon delivery:
– Made-to-order or bespoke products
– Opened or used hygiene-sensitive items (e.g., toilets, sinks)
– Special order items

4. Faulty or Incorrect Items
4.1 If you receive faulty or incorrect goods, we will either:
– Replace the item, or
– Offer a full refund, including any reasonable return shipping costs.
4.2 Claims for faulty or incorrect items must be reported to us within 48 hours of receipt, with photographic evidence where applicable.

5. Return Process
5.1 To return an item:
– Contact us at sales@getmytaps.co.uk to request a returns number.
– Pack the item securely in its original packaging, including your invoice or order confirmation.
– Return the item to us at the address provided in your returns confirmation email. This can also be found on the website.

6. Refunds
6.1 Once we receive the returned goods, we will process your refund within 14 days, minus any applicable return shipping fees.
6.2 Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

7. Late Returns
7.1 Returns made after 14 days will not be accepted unless the item is faulty.

1.2 If you notice any damage or discrepancies, do not install the products. Contact us immediately within 48 hours of receiving the goods.

2. Product Storage
2.1 Store your products in a dry, indoor area, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
2.2 Ensure that products (especially tiles) are stacked properly and that no weight is placed on the edges of tiles.

3. Installer Selection
3.1 Ensure that your installer is qualified and experienced for the products being installed (e.g., tiling, plumbing, electrical work).
3.2 If your installer is not experienced with specific products (e.g., underfloor heating, complex tiling patterns), consult with a specialist before installation.

4. Installation Area Preparation
4.1 Ensure that the installation area is clean, dry, and free from debris.
4.2 Confirm that any necessary permits or approvals (e.g., for plumbing or electrical work) have been obtained.
4.3 Verify that you have the right tools for the job (e.g., tile cutter, adhesive, grout).

5. Material Requirements
5.1 Ensure you have enough materials to complete the job, accounting for cuts, mistakes, and future repairs (generally 10% extra for tiles).
5.2 We are not responsible for any shortages of products if they are ordered incorrectly or in insufficient quantities.

6. Product Compatibility
6.1 Ensure that all products are compatible with one another. For example:
– Tiles: Are they suitable for the floor or wall?
– Bath or shower: Have all necessary components (e.g., taps, waste fittings) been ordered?

7. Tile Installation Tips
7.1 When installing tiles, mix tiles from multiple boxes to ensure consistent variation in shade.
7.2 Allow enough time for adhesive and grout to fully cure before using the area (typically 24-48 hours).
7.3 Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for curing times and moisture control.

8. Post-Installation Care
8.1 After installation, take care to:
– Clean surfaces with appropriate cleaners
– Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage finishes

9. Final Check
